THE TWYFORD TOOTLERS
Established in 2017, The Twyford Tootlers Flute Ensemble is founded on an ethos of flutes, friendship and fun. Directed by professional flautist Rachel Dawson, the ensemble welcomes adult players of around grade 3 standard and above, who share their passion for all things flute.
The Tootlers meet monthly or bimonthly depending on their concert schedule, and enjoy performing a huge variety of bespoke arrangements from classical to pop.
The ensemble has a growing collection of harmony flutes (piccolo, alto and bass instruments) which are loaned out for players to use. Each year they welcome a junior apprentice to join the ensemble to play one of the group’s alto flutes. This is normally a talented sixth form student who demonstrates both potential and commitment.
The Tootlers are available for bookings. Please contact us via email to discuss your requirements.
